Performance Evaluation of MIMO-FTN Signaling under Multipath Fading Channels

In this paper, we investigate the advantages of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) faster-than-Nyquist (FTN) signaling under a fixed utilized bandwidth and multipath fading channels. We present derivations input-output relationships for MIMO-FTN systems decompose MIMO transmission scheme into spatial spectral precoding procedures. An approximated frequency-domain equalizer (FDE) is introduced at receiver as an effective solution to decode signals. The simulation results reveal that FTN outperforms conventional Nyquist fixed-bit in terms bit error rate (BER) throughput. It shown has applicability lower-level modulation process, which might decrease peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR), while there exists tradeoff between PAPR BER/throughput. Moreover, FDE FTN-SCFDE are confirmed configuration.
